For those that may be interested, below are few pix of Merccossie's 16V 190E Cosworth when I owned it. This is roughly in the spring of 2008. And as you'll see, she was in rough, rough shape. She was abused by previous owners. I can still recall the initial coolant water coming out like friggen soda. I think maintenance was low on some owners' lists. I wish I could have kept 'er, but I became engrossed in my pilot's license back then.
But Merccossie has restored this car just as I saw it being my dream car. It's so very cool to see it this way now. I am in awe. Many thanks to Merccossie for all his hard work! I can wait to see the progress continue. :)

It took a little bit of work on that back corner. The tail light area was punched in but the bumper was pulled rearwards. Likely backed into and onto something then drove off it.
I think car may have sat for some time with little use, but I think it was well maintained and likely garage kept most of it early life. Other than the cosmetic damage, the car was original unmolested. It is one of my favorite drivers.

It did seem to be well cared for, initially. Then some later owner(s) didn't care anymore. There were a lot of little wear things... I especially loved the rear ashtray just being gone. lol But the engine and transmission were solid.
Did you resolve the idling trouble? I figured it was idle control valve that needed attention.

The engine is very solid. The mixture control tower had been cut open. I replaced it and Set the mixture to factory spec. The car runs from the touch of the key. The oscillating idle speed was from small vacuum leaks. Oh and the ashtray. The original ashtray was really stuck under the passengers seat along with three more keys!

This is Merccossie. Just to let all know. I still continue to daily drive this car all these years later and absolutely trouble free.
She is a real blast to drive still. While her paint is showing its age now, she still runs like a scalded dog.
