It rained here last night and this morning. I hadn't washed the car in 4~ days and the driving in the rain this morning just made it even dirtier. So I washed her really good, hand dried her.. rubbed her down...

Anyway. I Washed the car. Vacuumed it out too. Super Clean.

It was so nice outside today. The rain this morning really cooled it off. Too bad the weather channel says no rain the rest of the weekend. High tomorrow is 95 degrees, 98 on Sunday.

    :(

I'm enjoying getting wasted after installing my Evo II brakes today, it was a lot of work because I was compelled to address side issues that I found in the process, and wanted to make the install as perfect as possible. Corona + limes was invented for long days of grande trebajo! Getting all of the new hard lines to work with the damn 500e master cylinder was the hardest part, had to make lines and re-flare the end of one to inverted taper to use an adapter to from 10X1.0 to 12x1.0. On a side note, while on an emergency run to Napa Auto Parts for an adapter and a flaring tool I got to drive an E39 525i, which was nice because it had working AC, but it opened my eyes to how mushy, quiet ,smooth, and un-responsive those cars are. It was truly the definition of a luxury car, I guess I was expecting too much, to be fair the E39 6 speed 540i i drove a couple of years ago had a tighter suspension and notchier (in a good way, like I know what gear I'm in) shifter, and had great torque, except the redline came up too fast, like a diesel or something. For the record, I am really grateful for being able to borrow the car (one with AC at that) and get the parts I needed to finish my project so that I didn't need to sleep on the couch at the shop tonight, or deal with the logistics of shuttling around my cars tomorrow. I would have been sleeping with some great company however!

I am sooo tired and drunk right now!

I found this great page for making your own pressure bleeder with parts from the hardware store, pretty slick!
    The DIY $20 brake bleeder

I might make one this weekend, pressure bleeding's the way to go with our cars, especially for the clutch.

I walked 2 miles at a local park where I walk 2 miles every morning. I've been walking for 4 months and it's really been good to me. I've lost 15 pounds and I just feel all around better. Went from 205 to 190. I've been trying to eat better also. I'm addicted to bacon jalapeno hamburgers though. So bad for me.

Pretty soon I want to start jogging or running instead of walking. My 34 year old body just doesn't want to run though.

Jalapeno burgers are freaking awesome, but seriously, stick to the walking and when you feel it right, start jogging, nothing too intense, I shaved a bunch of inches around my waist by doing that. Now, I'm trying to combine the running with push-ups .... it feels really good.

I installed a sequential shift light in the 16v this evening, it's pretty cool, although a bit bright at it's lowest setting at night. I gotta get used to it, I'm used to catching the sweep of the tach needle with my peripheral vision, this has green lights that light up left to right and the redline zone ones are orange and red. I just stuck the programming module inside the glovebox, I'll probably velcro it down tomorrow. The light module tapes down nicely under the speedometer.
