It's funny to think that the cars we love are anywhere from 14 to about 25 years old!


It just goes to show that Mercedes made some great models there in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, especially the W123 and W201.

Wow, this place is crazy cool! I haven't been on here in a long time. I was reminiscing about the old Days when it was a "simpler time." Hell I remember when Cassidy switched this forum from the old yellow one and everybody had to reregister, of course DJ through a fit that his post count wouldn't transfer over!!

I think there is a decline in participation due to social media, but there are still plenty of 'visits' - just fewer new posts.

If there was a better way to integrate with FB / G+ / Instagram etc, then I'm sure it wouldn't seem so quiet, But integration with those "services" brings a whole new set of problems with them.

Nonetheless, the answers to the repetitive questions asked on the FB page are still here hehe

Well people could post here, copy the link, then post the link on FB or maybe somewhere on the Forum's backend have a notification auto create an FB post. There are game apps that do that. I don't use Tapatalk, seen it used by other forums, but maybe there is something that could.
Just blabberin'. Joined FB 190Rev, yesterday.

There isn't a lot of active threads, but it will remain a great resource to do searches in.

I'm sure it will come back some as people realize that the facebook newsfeed has nothing on forum formatting.

Considering how long the forum has been around, the number of topics addressed and quite literally beaten to death {R/16 anyone?}, it's not surprising that the forum is more of a repository of data that folks peruse rather than post. Also, it's the natural progression of the age of the cars and owners. Bulletin boards and forums were all the rage fifteen years ago and the W201 owners who were computer savvy enough to join them have grown up, moved on and the current generation of owners tend to be more "social media" oriented.

We'll continue to be around for awhile longer at least.
