    I know i'm asking for alot of extra questions but it really depends on what kind of webhost you use and what server side scripting it supports, php asp perl java whatever.

    $ ssh -l (uname) [host]

    enter password

    $ find [path...] [expression]

    Shell command, wont help for a website, i guess it depends on what final functionality you would want to achieve and what this will be used for.

    I use to have a php driven front end to my mp3 collection that worked like a web based jukebox, you could make playlists and then open them with your fav mp3 player to play the songs directly from the server. Worked great with my collection. Would set it up for parties people would get lost in the 4500 mp3s

    It will work if you have putty and type in the address of the host where it says host.

    Or check out hotscripts. MORE than enough mp3 organizers. Of course, most of them are pretty bad. Just gotta keep trying them until you find a good one.

    well putty is great but its not for a website (I use putty myself at work).

    Check out freshmeat.net or sourceforge.net also for scripts, but it all depends on what kind of host you use like mentioned. If you have a good linux host theres 100 diff options for you

  14. Guys, what service did you use to shorten the link? I liked this https://www.capsulink.com/ service visually, but so far I don't risk shortening links with it. I would like to hear the opinions of other users who know a lot about such services. If it's not difficult for you, tell me please the pros and cons of link shortening. Thank you all in advance.
