So. Cal. Owners, anyone interested in rolling their fenders?
I have the tools, just don't have a garage to work in.

you're going to find out that the metal in the fenders on your 190 isn't going to bend very easily lol you're going to have to work hard for it. we've tried the phone book and bat method back in the day and the car just sits on it and the fender doesn't move, and that's just the single sheet front fender!

If you put your fingers up behind the lip it feels like there's a thick bead of caulk in the fenders. That will probably prevent them from getting completely flat.

I have 3 tools, that I've done with both my old '85 190E and a '94 E320. Heat gun helps, Fender Roller brand new, and a Clamp-like flat-head tool brand new as well. Best thing to do was to leave the car outside in this So.Cal. heat. Yes, cleaning the debris inside the fender is a must before attempting this. I too, have my AMG Fender kit (spacer) to install as well. I'm in Anaheim, Orange county area. I'm open for the first weekend of Aug 5 to 6th...if during the week is suggested, I can make plans for a day off. Prepping is important.

    Let's start here: August 5th or 6th.

Home Depot has nylon washers that I've used on my '94 W124, double-stacked was about 3/4". It's the screws that they don't carry. Found them at Ace Hardware. Yes, you can make your own.

BTW, this plan is a bust, no one keeps up in here anymore. Don't want to use facebook and have 50 people show up and 1 set of tools to use. I figured on getting some SoCal local together and get some time and share some stories on our rides.
