I came home for the Christmas break to a sick collection of 190 parts waiting for me! I tell you, even though I knew about them, it was still like an early Christmas morning.

I'm thinking maybe I should wrap them up and surprise my 190...yes, I am a car nut!!! LMAO

It's ok 190EAMG, I just ordered my car a new Luisi steering wheel, euro taillights, and white vinyls for my gauge cluster... Even a blue LED kit for the stocking! ::

Although most of it won't actually arrive until after christmas

Flew all the way across the country to go home for the holidays......got stuck in Denver for 3+ extra hours because they broke our jet and couldn't get a new one. Was reminded of how bad flying sucks when you are a passenger piled into an airliner :crazy1:

We had a little snow storm last night... i waited until all the roads were properly covered with fresh white powder, and went out for a little blast

These cars can hold slides for such a ridiculously long time and with such ease... lol It was too much fun.

Just tap the gaz and hold the slide until the roads straightens out.. Great great fun.

My friend was also there with his Mitsu Evo 9... i tell you now the 190 is far more fun in the snow.. The evo 9 just has too much grip and too much power to have "safe" fun with.. the 190 was just perfect.

Another one of my buddies has the '07 STI with... i don't know all sorts of exhaust and turbo mods (too many, and too japanese to recall any of them..hehe stage 2 this and stage 2 that), in a few weeks time were gonna be hitting up a private winter drifting track in northern Quebec. The 190, Sti, and evo9 goin crazy.. hehe although the 190 won't get the same beating as the 2 others

I'll be sure to snap plenty of pics when i go.

Some pics from last year! (no evo9 present though, as it was just purchased 1 month ago)

Yeah, thats what it is suppose to be by design. Picked it up cheap as a possible scoop for a removable roof scoop I am working on that drops into the open sunroof to provide ventilation for track & cruise-night use (air vents and forced air helmet).

Was looking at using this Harwood scoop, but at $30 the other one is far cheaper then the $280 they want for the Harwood. Maybe down the road, when I actually have money to blow on the car, I will pick up a Harwood and bolt it on instead, it shouldn't require much modding once I get the base made.

Cool, I was looking at muscle-car hood scoops trying to find a round one to use as an ITB plenum. No luck unfortunately. A 190e with a rally style roof scoop would be cool!

Yeah, I was originally inspired looking at the roof scoop used on the CLK GTR for an engine intake. I drew a couple sketches of the 190E with one and I thought it would look really cool as an actual mod to do, especially with the eventual widebody. Obviously running with the windows down on the track is a no-no, you don't want to sacrifice engine power for air conditioning, I already have the heavy sunroof that I might as well take advantage of (though I do love the sunroof across three of the seasons) and some additional ventilation is a must for the racetrack during the summertime when wearing those three layer Nomex suits.

SO A NEW WINTER PROJECT BEGINS!

Depending on where and who you run with, you might have to have the windows down anyways. The reason for this is that it's a safety concern, in that they can pull you out of a bad wreck quicker with the window down. Usually a window net attached to the roll cage is required in these cases, but not always. I'm not sure what the drag trade-off would be with a roof scoop versus windows open. It will certainly look bad-ass though!

Thanks for the head's up on the Harwood scoop, I gotta check the prices and dimensions, it looks like it might work. If not, I'll have to make one eventually with the carbon fiber and polyester resin, hopefully this year!

Oh yeah, and today I have done nothing. Damn customers are dilly-dallying on their 2010 racing preparations and leaving shit to the last minute for the first races at the beginning of February. Tomorrow I'll do the short-shift on my 16v, no more rowing the canoe through the gears!
