What did I do today? Pulled my hair out. that's what I did.

Took the distributor, injectors and lines off of the CIS system off for cleaning and inspection. After replacing the O ring on the fuel distributor, it's running worse, much worse, not better. Going flat at 4k rpm instead of 5-6k now. To the floor, no load, it goes to 4k, and slowly pulses between 4 and 5k. Okay, take the distributor back off and see what happened. Feels like it's going off one cylinder when it loses power.

Gave the injectors a couple of hours in the ultrasonic cleaner, and shined up the injector lines on the oft practiced but seldom proved theory that a pretty engine is a happy engine. No difference, so cross that off the list.

Pulled the EHA plug, retuned lamba tower a bit so it idles, no difference, still acting sick in the same way.

So I went from an underpowered but driveable 16v to a virtually undriveable 16v. Not exactly what I had in mind.

Went to the wrecking yard over the weekend and got a ton of stuff from a black w/black 93 and door panels from a tan 91. Picked up a glow plug controller (GP light works now), spare 2.5D tach and leather steering wheel, spare seat bottom and seat back. Also nice black fabric covered door weatherstrips. Let the black interior conversion begin.

800 miles. Half in torrential rain through the mountains. That's what I did today. The 2.6 was flawless with the excsption of an intermitant misfire. One of these days i'get that sorted.

washed the car at the car wash when the wheels were hot as hell. I used the same wheel/tire cleaner I always do but since it was hot it didn't go so well. So I ended up buying a "powercone" and polishing the wheels. Pain in the ass, I'd rather not do it again for a while.

They shine pretty good! I'll get some kick ass daytime photos.. duhhh!

Sticker blew off at the car wash to I put another one on.

My spare. I'd hate to run these kind of wheels. I like my Cragar's.

I spent like $60 at Walmart. I never do that. Bought 16 new towels and I already have 10. I love having a clean microfiber towel handy. I have.. 26 of them now! :)

started off from a light and had my throttle go 100% dead - lucky I was close to home. A little bit of duct tape and was able to drive the car home.

the stupid little piece of plastic that attaches the throttle cable to the linkage decided to fukk off and run away.

I strongly suggest every Rev member goes out and buys part 202 301 0093 (the replacement plastic guide piece) and keep it handy with their fuses in the glove box

Washed the car, conditioned the leather and decided go go OEM for a little bit. Removed the smoked corners, black grill strips and red out tail lights and put on Amber corners, chrome strips and regular tail lights.

Moved from the big house in the nice hood to the 2 bedroom apartment in the nice complex.

I hate moving. I'll miss my garage. Good thing I can still go over there and keep all of my tools there.

    View from my bedroom window.

Because living there was at first to help her out with the bills and that turned into a year and a half. It wasn't fully our home and we wanted something that was.

I hate parking the dream outside. Guess that 26 years of being garage kept is over for the Dream.

I also installed more black interior pieces. C pillar trim, rear deck with the later larger speaker grills, 3rd brake light and black fuzzy door seals.
