It's not a whole lot different.
Just need to learn how to time the IP to the crank, learn about rack travel and ALDA, HX30's and Goran Lindgren's superpumps.
and valvesprings... exhaust manifolds....
the learning curve isn't as hard as it is with the nuances of the 16v.
There are however a lot of details to absorb regarding the pump timing, rack travel adjustments, deliveryvalves, injectors, cam timing, etc. egr deletes, and huge BOV's.

I bought a set of 17" AMG Aero I premergers.
How can I get the wheels narrowed so they fit on the 190e without having to roll the fenders?
They fit on my 16v without modification. Fenders aren't rolled on a 16v.

are yours 62.5mm centre caps or the 64mm centre caps ?

That 17x8.25 et28 is actually a pretty good size, just be careful with your tire choice, I'd vouch for a 215/40 for those 17's. On one of my cars I'm running wider, with more negative offset, at the nearly (mine's slightly taller) the same total diameter of a 215/40/17 with 16" and 225/45/16 tires. 8.5 et22 in front, 9 et21 in the rear. I do have the diy version of the amg fender spacer kit up front but no rolling or other fender modification.
Here's some info from willtheyfit, comparing mine and your front wheel setup, mine is orange, yours is green. This is assuming you use the 215/40/17 size I mentioned.

Thanks secretmachine,
I will take your advice and use a 215/40/17 tire size and hopefully I wont have to use a fender spacer kit with this tire width.
What's wrong with using the fender spacer kit? It's a subtle modification that don't really have any negative effects.

and absolutely necessary when running 16" or larger in widths of 8"+ even when ET's are close to congruent with stock ET's for narrower rims.
grab some 30mm delrin rod and make them to suit. the AMG spacer kit isn't big enough for the ET28's, you need to go about half as wide again. I think mine are something like 25-30mm and 20mm at the sill, or close to that.

Was checking my electric window set that I'm plannin on installing in my 190e. It didn't come with a relay. Can't seem to find a part number for it, maybe someone can help me out?
Spotted a clean blauschwarz 16V in Davis yesterday. Was that anybody that's on here?
Visited this form and posted for the first time since 03/17 lol.
The car is still alive and sitting in the garage.
